Here are a few things you can do immediately:

  • Avoid certain foods and drinks: Citrus fruits, chocolate, caffeinated or alcoholic drinks, spicy, fatty, or fried foods, garlic and onions, peppermint, and tomatoes
  • Eat smaller meals
  • Don’t lie down after eating
  • Elevate your bed
  • Quit smoking
  • Lose weight
